Performed technical design reviews - focused on domain modeling, simplicity in design, and opportunities to clarify the intent of the code. Launched Minimally-Lovable-Products ranging from tried-and-true web 2.0-style apps, to fully responsive, mobile-first web apps. Pushed a large iOS-backed forward from “Rails Best Practices” toward a modern, intentional, domain-centered design.

As a boutique focused on business intelligence for biotech and life sciences industry, wefocused on building intuitive and simple applications for accessing vast and complicated datasets. Also built a small product for detecting and protecting against evil natured web-scrappingand comment/form submission bots.

When no one else cared about web standards, I did. Focused on users and problems and built solutions to fit them. Built middleware to abstract the massive mainframes on which all finance, apparently, still runs. J2EE, Servlets, Struts... oh, how I wish JRuby was around then!
