The 812 is home to local news, digital storytelling, production services and marketing right here in beautiful Southeast Indiana! What we love most are the people that make our area so unique! We’re covering Ripley, Franklin, Decatur, Dearborn counties.

•Works directly with local and state government agencies, non-profits, businesses and individuals on a wide range of subjects including workforce development, quality of place, economic development, tourism and inclusion.•Responsible for City communications, promotions, press releases, website management, and public outreach.•Established and maintains social media accounts for the City of Batesville along with 10 additional community non-profit organizations. •Launched a video series where I film, write and produce TV-style news packages that highlight the people and places of our area. •Established and independently operate as the Public Information Officer for the Fire Department and the Emergency Operations Center during crisis scenarios.•Initiated and oversaw fundraisers and events for non-profits including the Sgt. Chad Keith 5K, Fiesta Hispana, Job Fairs and parades.•Maintains a strong partnership with Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, Hispanic Community Advisory Committee, and other service organizations along with current and perspective businesses.•Created and implemented the first-of-its-kind free Military Banner Recognition Program that honored more than 200 local veterans.

- Independently gather, write, produce and broadcast on-air material for 700 WLW.- Generate and report national news stories for ABC News Radio.- Produce web and social media content for the station.- Develop and produce local interest “feature” stories.- Cultivate news and sports contacts in the community.- Prepare and conduct interviews with regional and national newsmakers.- Resigned to accept promotion as News Director.
