Additionally, I have acted as a stand-in Area Lead for when our Project/Area Lead was otherwise unavailable. This role typically consists of being the point of call for the QA team, as well as a direct contact to other departments and the Game Director in regard to working direction, and ensured the QA team was properly equipped to handle the task given to them on the day. Part of a team tasked daily to black-box test a game or application set for us from our off-site client. Primary bug report and regression interactions have been handled via JIRA, TestRail and/or client-specific software Helix and followed standardised QA practices such as severity, recurrence, affected game/application components, and reproduction steps. To date, I have worked on NBA 2K21 (PS5/XSX/PS4/XBO, 2K), Ford Horizon (PC, Imagination), Rogue Company (PC, Hi-Rez), and Subnautica: Below Zero (PC, Bandai Namco).I have also been called upon numerous times to help the Senior team with distribution, primarily at the start and end of shifts, making sure team members have the correct hardware for their task and communicating any information regarding builds or updates, as well as making sure all parts of a colleague’s equipment (i.e. console, cables, IP tracker, etc.) is present when packing away at the end of the shift.
