I currently work on the Windows Azure Customer Advisory Team (WAZCAT). In this position, I seek out the largest and most complex Windows Azure deployments in the world to help customers be successful on our platform, then we take learnings from these engagements to improve the platform, and to establish and publish best practices for other customers and partners to use and reference to ensure their success on the Windows Azure platform.

Worked in the SQL Customer Advisory Team (SQLCAT) Independent Software Vendor (ISV) team. In this role, we specialize in implementing the most challenging customer database applications worldwide, pushing the frontiers of SQL capabilities, then publishing the lessons learned and best practices to allow others to be able to create applications to take advantage of SQL's capabilities.

In this position, I offer onsite proactive and reactive services as well as developing courseware offered to Microsoft Premier customers.Proactive services include the SQLRAP (SQL Risk Assessment Program).I am one of the lead authors of the SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization workshop - a 4 day onsite in depth workshop on SQL Server performance.I am the sole author of the initial version of the SQL Server Hands-on Troubleshooting lab and workshop.In addition to what I develop, I also deliver the SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization workshop, and the SQL Server Integration Services workshop.I have to admit that I have the most fun on reactive cases. I thrive on walking into the highly charged critical situations or server down situations, troubleshooting, finding root cause, and working with the customer to bring their system back up to a functional and healthy state. Of course, any such reactive case needs to be followed up with proactive services to ensure they never get into that critical situation again.

I worked with the development team on Native American Gaming software. I was responsible for all of the testing and financial verification of the software. My primary focus was on database operations.
