I joined the team to create the Snowflake Treats Brand. This work included scouting out their first retail location. I worked with Building Management, Architects, project leads and health and building departments to design an ADA storefront that met the needs of product safety, customer safety, brand awareness, and product exposure. Built custom Corian counters with electric actuators, designed custom refrigeration, and custom porcelain ramekins and custom pastry boxes and taster spoons and sourced manufacturing worldwide. Designed logos and branding artwork, labels, label production equipment, commercial kitchen production equipment, included CPU controlled heated blenders. Designed the website and extended platform functionality with React JS components to accommodate complex shipping rules. Both departments required that I learn Shell scripting for Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows 7 (Not power shell) and git farm. I was trained in Amazon Apollo and Amazon Brazil. ( The infinite scale engine and related compiler respectively.) My responsibilities under store ratings were to code html5/css3 rating widgets and JSONP/iFrame forms that rendered cross domain and HTML email templates. All code was tested cross platform/browser for UI/UX and performance. (IE6 & 7 are not supported by Amazon). My responsibilities for latency reduction (front end) included identifying slow running code, optimizing image render times, sprite optimization, image caching and separating required assets that loaded in view (above the fold) and assets that rendered below the view.
