I have joined Faithful+Gould as an Associate Director in the Tunbridge Wells office. I am responsible for the Commercial Property Cost Consultancy team in the Office delivering projects from inception to completion. This requires close cost control during the design phase and then monitoring and reporting during construction to ensure clients are fully aware at all stages of their financial exposure and design efficiency. I am always looking at consistency of service and ways we can add value to our clients projects

In June 2014 I was made an Associate Partner in the Brighton office of Robinson Low Francis. I am responsible for the Cost Consultancy team in the Brighton Office delivering projects from inception to completion, often to challenging budgets set by clients. I am also responsible for the day to day running of the Quantity Surveying team here in the Brighton Office, looking at consistency of service and ways we can add value to our clients projects.

I rejoined Faithful and Gould in November 2006 keen for a change of direction from the civils side of the industry and to expand my knowledge of building projects. During my second spell at Faithful and Gould I worked on numerous projects including education, commercial offices, hotels and landscaping public spaces. My key achievement during the second spell at Faithful and Gould however was the successful delivery of the fit out of the three stations on the high speed channel tunnel rail link at Ebbsfleet, Stratford and St Pancras. The later of these including being brought back into the project at a late stage to bring costs under control and agree and settle the final account all of which were procured under a fully cost reimburseable form of contract requiring extensive negotiation skills.

After leaving Faithful and Gould I joined E C Harris to head up their delivery of the Environment Agency Cost Management Framework in the Southern Region where I looked after other members of staff in the team.

London Then Seconded To Southern Water At Brighton

I moved to Faithful and Gould in January 2000 where I continued to use my skills as a civils quantity surveyor but also started to gain experience of the building industry. I was seconded full time to Southern Water in January 2001 where I remained as an area cost manager in the project delivery department looking after all projects upto £10 million in value within the west region (West Sussex and Hampshire) until leaving Faithful and Gould in November 2005

I started working for Jacobs Babtie as a civils quantity surveyor during my sandwich year at University in September 1995. Following this placement year I was offered a full time position by Jacobs Babtie and completed my degree on a day release basis in 1998. I sat my RICS APC in November 1999 and passed first time to become professionally qualified as a civils Quantity Surveyor.
