With over 20 years' experience as an entrepreneur; leading diverse teams in competitive and complex IT markets, I built a business and took it to a successful exit, Having achieved what I set out to do I want to use what I have learnt to help other enterprises achieve their goals.After establishing AIT in 2002 as a reseller of hardware I grew and adapted the business through challenging times into into a managed service provider delivering LAN, Security and Data Centre infrastructure solutions to the UK 's biggest private and public sector enterprises. In October 2021 I sold the business to Convergence Group, a WAN connectivity wholesaler with an ambition to become a provider of LAN solutions. Building and transforming a business over 20 years has taught me a huge amount. I was privileged to work with, and learn from, great colleagues and partners in AIT and in our our suppliers, customers and competitors. The most important lesson I learnt was that culture and values are what drives success. Strategy, expertise, determination are important but creating an inclusive, professional, fun environment where everyone feels that they are respected and can make a difference is the best approach to achieving organisational goals.
