This included developing the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando that firmly established the brand in the hotel industry as the most irreverent four-star brand! At the Rank Group I was responsible for the day to day management of our 50% investment in Universal Studios Florida and led efforts on financing and development of the Universal Studios resorts in Orlando and Japan, serving on the Board of Directors of both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Japan. I also worked on many acquisitions, disposals and new ventures around the world.Before joining the Rank Group I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse, London where I had the pleasure of serving clients like the Walt Disney Company, MCA/Universal and many banks & financial institutions.
