As the President and Chair of the Board of Handball Australia, I am dedicated to re-energising and advancing the Olympic sport of Handball in Australia. My primary focus is on driving strategic initiatives and fostering grass roots development in preparation for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.

A career-defining moment that elevated me from small innovative projects in my backyard to the world stage working on a landmark stadium precinct in North America. I presented to C-level management from the client and worked side-by-side with a multidisciplinary project group including the lead architects, technology provider and digital consultant, a strategy, product and implementation plan was developed to create a connected experience of dynamic digital wayfinding across a vast stadium precinct. Working with internal stakeholder groups (UX, Delivery, Software Engineering) to ensure user needs were met in a manageable and scalable manner. Managing a product roadmap for internal communication and investor relations.Developing and delivering product presentations and demonstrations to win new business in varying market segments (Stadiums, universities, airports, hospitals, resorts, smart cities). Preparing proposals, responding to bids and onboarding new clients.

Steve has played a leading role in the development of PAM from day one. As Product Manager, Steve has an in-depth understanding of technology and process, UX and systems integration, and works closely with venue owners and managers to create intelligent user experiences at campuses, airports and healthcare facilities around the world. PAM makes wayfinding simple as a cloud-based platform for managing signs to create smarter spaces for people. It is one of just six Australian start-ups selected to take part in the highly competitive elevate61 accelerator program in 2017, designed to help participants fast track their growth into the United States.

I started with BrandCulture as an intern to hone my branding and design skills. I worked close with the MD, Stephen Minning, to create innovative user experiences to extend the world of Branded Environments and Wayfinding into digital environments. I discovered within myself a nack for taking complex problems and simplifying them, bringing operational efficiencies and user needs into balance. Promoted to the Role of Technology Designer, I led UX/UI and digital experience projects. I worked on emerging technology’s at the time (Beacons, QR, NFC, interactive digital signage, AR) that have become ubiquitous within our daily lives. In 2013 at UTS, I led a project to installed QR codes and NFC chips at every building entry and lift lobby giving students and visitors access to the latest building and campus information. The culmination was the creation of a signage asset and wayfinding experience management platform that became PAM Wayfinding. I worked with a range leading Australian universities (UTS, ANU, MQU, ACU, UC, UWA) to develop their digital Wayfinding strategies. This including understanding their internal systems and processes for facility and information management to interviewing and reporting on the needs and expectations of students, staff and visitors. The remainder of my projects were spread across the corporate and public sectors: Telstra, Garmin, KWM, AMP, Mirvac, Sydney Water, City of Sydney, SHFA, Transport NSW and Property NSW.
