At the start of 2004 I co-launched a new Cisco VAR business in Shreveport, LA. Along with my business partner, Ken McCoy, we quickly established Trusted Data Solutions as one of the leading "go to experts" in Cisco Wireless, Routing/Switching, and Unified Communications (e.g. Cisco Voice). We were the first Cisco Premier Partner north of Baton Rouge to become Wireless Specialized and the company was invited to participate in the new Advanced Technologies Program (ATP) Outdoor Wireless.As a small business owner, my duties were highly cross-functional. I was directly involved in all phases of business development, delivery, and support. Along with my business partner, we grew the company from a "seed" of two customers to well over 50 named accounts including Caddo Parish Schools, U.S. Dept of Defense, and Kansas City Southern Railway Company.In 2008, family circumstances required that we relocate to southern Georgia, after which I dissolved my equity in the company.

Shreveport, Louisiana

Launched my professional career immediately after finishing college by joining Electronic Data Systems (EDS) supporting the General Motors Shreveport Assembly plant. Initially supported the Hughes LAN Systems Whittaker product line which was then replaced with Enterasys Cabletron access hubs (10Mb) and a ForeSystems Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) core running LAN-E over ATM. The 3-man team I was on was responsible for supporting all network communications across the 2.5 million sq.ft. manufacturing floor. I was made part of a project group that completely re-designed and upgraded the entire network infrastructure to a Cisco standard based on 6500-series core switches, and Catalyst distribution / access switches.
