    • Worked with a small team of employees and consultants on several major releases of the Underwriting WorkStation. As one of the primary developers I was responsible for making design decisions, coding new functionality, analyzing and improving application performance and stability, and debugging issues found in testing. I also traveled to New York, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and California to assist in the successful deployment of the application. During my involvement, the application grew from a quoting system with a user base of 30 to a lifecycle system with a user base of over 250, including external brokers.• Designed and built Director's Chair, a management console for developer/administrative tools utilizing Microsoft.Net technologies. A Director's Chair utility, called a plug-in, could be created by implementing a simple interface and the Director's Chair would load the plug-in using reflection. This tool provided developers access to custom built utilities and an easy way to deploy and manage their own utilities. • Organized and documented the XL Framework, the building blocks from which internal XL applications were constructed. This documentation was used to train all new developers on the XL Framework. I also automated the XL Framework build process. This enabled developers to create and push out builds in as little as four minutes, a task that previously could take in excess of four hours to do.• Ran the weekly global developer technical meeting with developers from our primary development offices in Hartford, London, and Zurich. I was responsible for coordinating topics and arranging speakers for each meeting.
