The Trane Graduate Training Program - Sales Engineering (GTP) is a 5-month program designed to prepare engineers for a rewarding career in technical sales. The program is geared toward developing sales engineers who will sell Trane's complex heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products and systems to commercial and industrial customers.Started in 1926 and recognized as the industry's most comprehensive training program, the GTP provides you with intensive technical, business, sales and leadership training, with an emphasis on maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.Virtually all Trane sales managers and district managers are engineers who graduated from this program. To qualify for consideration you must hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, be technically competent and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the industrial engineering team to analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.- Conduct time studies to analyze various production tasks, measure work content, and identify bottlenecks or areas of optimization. Use this data to develop accurate work standards and establish realistic production targets.- Assist in designing and optimizing the layout of the machine shop floor, considering factors such as workflow, material flow, ergonomics, and safety. Propose layout modifications to enhance operational efficiency and minimize waste.- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques, such as 5S, visual management, standard work, and continuous improvement projects. Actively participate in Kaizen events and contribute to the elimination of non-value-added activities.- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and potential cost savings opportunities.- Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for various manufacturing processes. Contribute to the development of visual aids, training materials, and process documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.- Work in cross-functional teams with operators, supervisors, and engineers to implement process improvement projects. Support the execution of pilot projects, data collection, and performance monitoring to evaluate project success. - Promote and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the machine shop environment. Identify potential hazards and recommend safety improvements to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:- Offer knowledgeable guidance on course layout, yardages, hazards, and green conditions to help golfers make informed decisions.- Provide insightful advice on club selection, shot execution, and overall course strategy, tailored to each golfer’s skill level and preferences.- Maintain a high level of professionalism and attentiveness throughout the round, anticipating golfer needs and providing prompt assistance.- Foster positive relationships with club members, guests, and fellow staff members, promoting a friendly and inclusive golfing environment- Assist golfers by loading bags, cleaning clubs and preparing golfers for play ensuring all their needs are met and questions answered- Clean and maintain the storage areas and golf cart fleet at all times- Assist golfers after their round by cleaning clubs, delivering them to their cars as needed and checking in the golf carts- Be knowledgeable and promote events at the Club, course conditions, events in progress, and any information that will be helpful to the Member/Guest, allowing them to enjoy the Club amenities and activities- Maintain club storage areas and cart barn in a clean and orderly manner with clubs- Maintain the practice areas so they are set-up and continually supplied (i.e., range balls, etc.) and in order for daily usage- Assist and coordinate services with other golf operations staff such as range attendants, cart attendants, marshals/starters, etc- Ensure seamless and efficient service to Members/Guests takes place- Ensure daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet Club standards- Assist fellow Employees, Members/Guests to ensure delivery of the Three Steps of Service without being directed- Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team- Notify management of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur- Practice good service recovery by rectifying any complaints as soon as possible
