During my internship with quicken loans, I worked with an agile development team to create an API middleware to interface with an IBM Watson chatbot on Quickenloans.com. My project was to implement a feature which allows customers to make loan payments using a conversational interface.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

As an electrical controls engineer, i designed electrical schematics and general arrangement layouts for machine control systems. Secondarily, I programmed PLC’s from customer criteria. I was the primary electrical designer in the team, and the primary technical contact for both customers and vendors (panel shops and component suppliers). I communicated with internal teams to coordinate workloads and resources, and better understand mechanical requirements.

Maumee, Oh

Traveled to customer facilities for installation, startup, maintenance and repair of thermal processing equipment. I was the primary representative and point of contact for my company while on-site, facing our clients and vendors alike. I was the first person to operate all systems of new equipment, verifying electrical wiring and PLC code, and mechanical hardware and piping, troubleshooting as needed. Repair services often included diagnosing and correction of older equipment. At the end of each job, written reports to document and analyze the outcome were made.

Ann Arbor, Mi

Designed, modeled and implemented new cooling system for extrusion pill maker in cell fabrication department to increase product yield and create improved product. This machine saved one hour per cycle. Complete cooling system assembly was modeled using Solidworks to prove viable design before purchasing materials. Other objectives included creating, re-working and updating 3D model database of manufacturing tools. I also worked with quality assurance to correct and update work instructions for ISO 9001:2008 certification.

Barrington, Il

Invented fabrication system for custom cut audio connection panels with improved machining methods. My system established new fixture system which produced 50% greater yields. With it, the company was able to reduce material waste and begin manufacturing all panels in-house.
