A twenty-one police veteran serving as a street officer then undercover sex crimes (SVU) detective. Steven was friends with with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (prior to being a police officer). During his police career, he arrested The Clairemont Killer (serial killer profiled on America's Most Wanted), and arrested a Fugitive from Justice on Canada's Most Wanted. He received numerous departmental and civilian commendations and two awards for Police Officer of the Year. Steven holds two certificates for Expert Marksmanship and served as Firearms Instructor with training through the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Birmingham Police Department. Steven received his arson investigation training with Dr. Henry Lee (Dr. Lee, renowned forensic investigator known for his work on the O. J. Simpson and JonBenet Ramsey cases).During his undercover cases, he worked closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department Of Justice's United States Attorney's Office, the United States Postal Inspector's Service, John Walsh's National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as the State of Alabama Attorney General's Office under Troy King. Steven is now retired from law enforcement and is using his vast law enforcement experience as an author penning true crime and crime novels.
