As the Nikon Expert, I am responsible for all brand advocacy and sales for Nikon within our store. I have consistently been top 33% in the company for the brand as well as hitting top 1% 3 times. As a vendor expert, I led the effort to create brand specific product guides to show online only and special order items, these guides resulted in several large sales. This position was full circle for me as the way I started my career with Best Buy and now at the end.

My job as lifestyles supervisor consisted of leading a team of around 16 people plus some seasonal employees through one of the busiest holiday seasons our store saw. I not only had to coach and train the team but I also had to maintain personal sales goals every day. As a store we were the number one store in the company for revenue on Black Friday weekend FY17. During my time as supervisor, I also crossed into the million dollar writer category having sold over $1 million in revenue during FY17.

As Microsoft Expert, I was responsible for the sales and goals for the Microsoft brand within our store. I was a member of a team of experts which monitored the units sold for Microsoft Surface products, Office cards, and OEM hardware. We stayed consistently in the top 50 of the company with several top 10 months. I personally created a business plan for Office attach rates which is still in use today and has increased average Office attach rates around 20%. I was also personally trained by Microsoft employees on selling strategies but also the entire Office suite of products and features.

As the head photographer, my responsibilities included attending and photographing all Music Department events. This included off site events as well as on campus outreach events. I was also responsible for the editing and organization of all photos submitted to the music department including those from my assistant photographer who started in 2012. I also assisted in the creation of several music department flyers and banners including two banners that still hang on campus. I was also responsible for creating an organized catalog including simple search tools to find certain photos.

Responsibilities included photographing several on site activities per day as well as setting up group conference photos each week. Those group photos then had to be submitted for printing which I handled all ordering of and delivering. I was also in charge of organizing a weekly slideshow that was presented at the end of the week but also burned to disk and sold at the camp store. As well, I handled most audio and visual set ups on camp including multi microphone set ups, live theater, and video displays.

As library page, I was responsible for the visible upkeep of the library including restocking the shelves, correctly keeping all books and media in order, and maintaining archives and records. I also assisted with most computer related questions by patrons when I was available. I led the large undertaking of organizing and purging our newspaper and magazine records as they were in no order and some being kept for longer than needed.
