It Trainer

I was the Lead IT Trainer at GTG on the Cisco Phone deployment for Arnold Clark. This involved visiting a different Arnold Clark branch each week to implement the new phone system. I was also directly involved with the management of other projects within GTG such as implementing the Origami Risk Management system, GTG Health and Safety Suite and Smart Assessor. These systems were introduced to develop the processes of the current systems in place by making them electronic and to help improve compliance. Success in this role was achieved through:•Ensuring every member of staff is trained in fully operational branches with up to 50 users as I trained independently. This required great time-management and planning to ensure every member of staff receives full training relative to their job role. This also required great customer service and interpersonal skills which allow me to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.•Working closely with the Project Manager to identify and troubleshoot any new and existing technical problems discovered onsite when implementing the Cisco phone system. Communication and teamwork between myself, the Project Manager and the IT Engineers are vital in ensuring any problems are identified and rectified appropriately before we leave the branch.•The effective design, creation and amendment of training material and the gathering and documentation of feedback. This required in-depth technical knowledge of the Cisco Phone platform to make sure the information I am providing to users is accurate, up-to-date and effective. The introduction and refinement of training created an overall decrease in post-training queries by customers which proved a success.

Er Data And Access Analyst

Glasgow, United Kingdom

It was my role to provide SAP production access for new and existing users whilst ensuring the access was correct and appropriate. This was achieved through:•The daily completion of incoming creation/amendment requests, ensuring each request was analysed to identify any high-risk transactions that may cause risk to the business whilst maintaining SLA figures. I achieved this by liaising with key contacts across the business, ensuring probing questions were used to identify any potential risk and, where appropriate, seeking further approval from business leads.•Offering informed and correct advice to the requester for different change requests. This was accomplished by maintaining a thorough understanding of different complex processes to enable me to make sound recommendations on the most appropriate/least risky access, whilst ensuring access was still fit for the user's purpose. Success was proven by positive feedback from requesters upon completion of requests.•Ensuring all completed work from IBM was quality checked. This was achieved by reviewing and highlighting any recurring themes or trends through data analysis and implementing solutions to streamline this process. It also required good time-keeping and coordination to work with international colleagues.•Ensuring process documents were relevant, up-to-date and stored correctly. This role required a technical understanding and excellent communication and analytical skills to provide mutual benefits to the business and users.
