My grandmother tucked a $100 dollar bill under her tongue and fled Cuba.She took the boys “shopping” and boarded a Delta jet and flew to New Orleans, never to set eyes on her homeland ever again. She went from law school in Cuba to sweeping churches in America, moving to Miami in 1970. My dad worked his way into an all-boys high school, and later to University of Florida. His dedication coming from nothing created an opportunity for me built on character, hard work and integrity. From my American mom came my faith. All things that built the pillars we stand on at Caught In The Web today. By the time mí abuela passed away in Charlotte close to my family, she had lived a full life that saw my dad and then me build successful businesses from scratch and raise incredible families. I hope to instill the same dedication and perseverance to my four kids - Isabella, Gus, Max and Vivi. God has taken care of us and we never want to lose sight of that, no matter where we are in the business cycle.
