Steven has over 35 years of experience in corporate finance and the capital markets. Prior to forming Greentree Partners, Steven served as Senior Vice President with GE Capital Corporation where he was responsible for debt and equity investments and Vice President with The First National Bank of Chicago, where he was involved in all aspects of corporate banking from Head of Credit Analysis and Manager of Traveling Audit to Commercial Lending Officer in the Midwest Group and Manager of Domestic Credit and Approval within the North American Group. Steven’s professional experience spans many industries and types of financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity offerings, Euro-market placements, securitizations, and project financings. As a financial advisor and member of the board of directors of several companies, he is aware of the opportunities and issues facing both small and enterprise sized companies and the importance of customer awareness, competitive positioning and strategic planning. Steven started and co-founded companies in a broad range of industries, including, LimoLink, Valley Apparel, Heuer Publishing, Brooklyn Publishers and Hard Dollar Corporation.Greentree Partners provides turnaround management, growth management and merger & acquisition services and direct investments in high tech/high growth companies.Steven is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Turnaround Management Association. He served on FASB's Special Task Force addressing Financial Instruments and the National Accounting Board with Robert Morris Associates. Steven has held Board seats with the Chicago Youth Symphony, National Czech and Slovak Museum & Library, Freedom Festival and the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. Steven holds an undergraduate degree in Financial Economies from the University of Iowa, a graduate degree in Finance from DePaul University and is a CPA and CGMA.
