As a Digital Creative, I'm interested in exploring the intersection of creativity and technology. Technology can be a powerful tool, but often without a compelling story to tell. The most creative idea is wasted without a platform to deliver it or an experience that the viewer can engage with. Modern brands need to consider technology and creativity together. Starting with a design background, I gravitated toward web technology. I enjoyed the challenge of composing a layout in the confines of relative positioning and CSS. They say you should pick a direction, but I've strived for a pretty even balance between creative and tech throughout my career over the past 10+ years. This balance has helped me graduate from brochure sites and blogs to using my mix of creativity and technology to solve business problems for national brands.In my role at Drake Cooper, I lead a team of UX and Visual Designers, Front-end and PHP Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Content Managers to create engaging digital experiences for regional and national mid-market brands. We run projects from UX strategy through design, prototyping in Figma and testing, development in modern frameworks like WordPress, React, and Shopify, and deployment on platforms like AWS and Digital Ocean.
