I worked part time in a Tesco express store whilst studying at University. As it is an express store it has been necessary for me to be comfortable with all parts of the business. The main responsibilities I have are: pulling deliveries into the shop safely, working deliveries and backstock, serving customers both on and off tills, helping to close down.

This job required the same essential skills as my current role at Tesco. By having to work similar jobs under different managers and companies it required me to be competent at taking instructions whilst using my own initiative when necessary.

At the Greyhound I was trained behind the bar and in certain kitchen areas. I was primarily a pot wash and a waiter when in the kitchen but would also be given the task of making desserts on busy shifts. I would usually take on all kitchen duties individually due to the size of the pub and occasionally have to simultaneously manage bar and kitchen work on.
