Capital projects executive lead as the University Architect.Oversee and support ongoing services for Operations & Maintenance, Design & Construction Services, Planning & Space Management, Real Estate, Parking & Transportation, Business Operations, and the Office of Sustainability.Advise on HR and staffing and organizational change management.Develop strategic and service delivery methodology, change management, labor changes, staff development, and reorganization contract negotiations.Manage teams that negotiate lease and contracts, terms sheets, and financial models through leadership, budget, and finance development; keeping the strategic partner and internal partner relationships informed.

Direct, plan and oversee the management and maintenance of physical plant assets in 120+ facilities. Provide operating engineering support for campus mechanical systems including HVAC/R, chillers, steam generation and distribution, controls, compressed air and laboratory support systems. Ensure the operation and improvement of control systems and building automation systems (BAS). Coordinate with maintenance trades for work on associated facility systems such as plumbing and electrical. Direct the activities of Associate Directors and Team Leaders in managing 65 staff members to sustain a safe, comfortable, functional, reliable and cost efficient environment for the University community.

Responsible for the coordination of project managers performing construction on campus. Developed services to execute work with the combination of delivery methods including Time and Material, Job Order Contracting, and Publicly Bid Projects. Develop staff to meet and exceed KPI - Key Performance Indicators measuring individual's abilities to execute timely and financially successful projects. The annual volume includes approximately 650 work order projects, deferred maintenance projects, and traditional design-bid-build projects. Prepare performance reports and work status reports utilizing work order management and project tracking software.

A member of the newly developed R-FaST group that is focused on all research branches of the University. Our objective is to guarantee the readiness of any and all types of laboratories or support facilities for PI's on grant or tenure track positions within the various University Research Colleges. Mentor and support project managers with their roles, ensuring that the policies and procedures of the Department are met.
