In the role of director responsible for the care provided by the Expertisecentrum Euthanasie (previously: Levenseindekliniek (End of life clinic). The organisation was established at March 01, 2012, with the goal to help persons with a request for euthanasia that meets the legal criteria and cannot be fulfilled by the persons doctor. 60 Teams, each consisting of one doctor plus one nurse, investigate each request and when it meets the legal criteria they perform euthanasia. In over five years the number of requests has grown to about 2.500 on an annual basis.

The "Levenseindekliniek" organization was setup to help citizens with a euthanasia request that suits legal requirements, but is not honored by their (general) practitioner. The organization works with the highest possible quality, integrity, cooperation, transparency and within Dutch law.
