As an industry leader in Health and Safety I was recruited to spearhead a shift in Health and Safety culture at the KIK Custom Products location in Toronto. This position had been previously subjected to multiple turnovers, and was in a state of disrepair. My initial goal was to work with the established systems and Managers to create a culture shift within the organization. The culture shift was necessary with a "top down , bottom up" approach that is proving succesful within the approximately 100 operator, maintenance, quality, and warehouse staff, and a further 150 administrative personnel at the Concord facility. This role allows me to not only Manage my specific department, but branch out within the operations portion of the business while reintegrating myself within MOL legislation. This role has allowed me to utilize all aspects of previous positions and schooling, in a multifaceted role within a Chlorine/Bleach/Cleaning Products/Consumer Products facility, and expand my career knowledge in the environmental portion of my field, as the responsible Company party for York Region, and the MOE. A "cradle to grave" high Production facility specializing in the production of plastic bottles and the subsequent filling and packaging of numerous household cleaning products and supplies. This fast pace environment continues to challenge me regularly in a positive manner, as we continue to grow the culture within the organization.

Through my drive to succeed and excellent leadership skills I was promoted internally to Manager, Safety & Risk Management. I am responsible to report directly to the Vice President, Safety& Risk Management. This position is responsible for overseeing the Safety Management System for a company population of over 300 employees. Duties include all previous duties granted to me as the Manager, Corporate Safety, oversight of Safety Management System Investigators and Document Administration personnel, oversee the Quality Assurance functions of the SMS, ensure all SMS manuals and training programs are reviewed and amended annually, investigate and report all occupational accidents or incidents and work with senior management to prevent recurrence, maintain the SMS database in order to monitor and analyze trends, monitor the response and measure results of SMS initiatives. With the purchase by Chorus Aviation, this provided me with the opportunity to work with one of Canada's largest aviation Company's and further develop my career with a wealth of resources.Design, facilitate and ensure regulatory compliance on all required Health and Safety Training Programs including, but not limited to:Safety Management Systems;Canada Labour Code;Emergency Preparedness and Response;WHMIS;Personal Protective Equipment;Approved Mask Fit Tester;Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Air and Ground);Working at Heights;Human Factors; andLockout/Tag out.

I was promoted internally to Manager, Corporate Safety. Duties included but were not limited to Cabin safety, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Coordinator, Liaise with HRSDC, Transport Canada and WSIB regarding safetyrelated issues, Develop and deliver Emergency preparedness exercises for fire and air emergencies, Oversee the company health and safety committee, develop and deliver safety related training to all departments (WHMIS, TDG, SMS) and manage injury and illness claims for employees Overseas, Ontario and New Brunswick. While working in this dynamic environment I am still able to participate in all aspects of SMS granted to me in my previous position.

Joining an upstart SMS system to comply with Transport Canada Regulations, I was part of a team to ensure our SMS system achieved part four validation. As a member of a Safety and Risk Management System I was assigned numerous tasks including aspects of Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Risk Mitigation, Work Observations, Irregularity Investigation and Internal Auditing. I was tasked with creating an internal audit process and associated check sheets to ensure the entire organization was audited annually. This dynamic position required consistent communication with Senior management to ensure the company remained in compliance with all associated regulatory bodies.

During my employment with this world wide leader in Mining equipment, it was my duty to maintain extensive quality control measures while meeting and surpassing daily quotas.Using blueprints I was required to setup my CNC machine and produce within the tight tolerance guidelines. I was also given the opportunity to obtain my ISO auditor certification in ISO 9001 and 14001. I was the employee co-chair of the Health and Safety Committee.

Using blueprints I was required to program and set up my machine with proper tooling to produce the required product. This fast paced shop required numerous program changes dependent on the various products required that shift.

Through internal job postings I was a backup QS9000 quality control auditor for a Tier 1 automotive company. I also excelled in a backup machine maintenance position for this fast paced automotive aluminum casting company. I was a lead hand to 20-40 people on a 12 hour shift rotation.

Overseeing the Machines and production scheduling. I was the afternoon shift supervisorfor upwards of 30 employees on a 8 hour shift rotation.
