Provision of management consultancy to Isle of Man regulated financial services companies, specialising in banking.

6 month consultancy role focusing on corporate governance, fitness and propriety, training and competency and risk management frameworks.

Responsible for leading and developing the finance and strategic development functions for Duncan Lawrie Private Banking in the Isle of Man and internationally.Proven track record of leadership/management, financial modelling, business performance, strategic development and implementation, underpinned by financial regulatory control and risk management/corporate governance expertise gained within private banking and trust & corporate services.Over 4 years Board experience on both a deposit taking (Class 1) and trust/corporate service provider (Class 4/5) licenceholders. FSA approved IOM Resident Officer and Company Secretary for Duncan Lawrie entities.Ownership of business unit sales process, liaising with purchasers and negotiating legal agreements with relevant parties in relation to wind-downStrong knowledge in corporate governance along with implementation of risk management framework built around the group’s risk appetite.Continued development and improvement of regulatory policies in line with FSA requirements and risk appetite (lending, interest rate, liquidity, counterparty exposures, capital requirements, ICAAP etc.)Active member of multiple Group Committees including Group Executive, Group Asset and Liability, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and I.T. Held the position of client accountant for all client companies and trusts. Producing timely management accounts and financial statements for a large portfolio of clients.

Detailed report production under Vendor Due Diligence assignments within the transaction services department.Audit work, primarily focussed on banking clients, whilst acting an Audit Assistant, followed by Audit In-charge through to Audit Senior on completion of ACA qualification in September 2006.Supervision of audit teams following promotion to Audit In-Charge.High level financial discussions with key management personnel of audit clients and analytical review and testing of internal controls.Timely preparation of audit files for partner sign off to meet tight client deadlines often determined and driven by Group Entities, including completion of group reporting packs for global companies.
