Part of the 1st Berlin Entrepreneur First cohort. Worked on various business ideas and was offered investment for a quantitative pharmacology startup that I was working on with my co-founder. Ultimately we declined the investment and we moved on separately.

Satago started as an idea I had to help small businesses get paid on time. I developed the idea during my MBA, then had the chance to raise some money to start building the company as one of the first companies to raise money on Seedrs. Together with my co-founder, Adam, who joined me in 2013, we went on to raise millions in equity and debt as we pivoted into a dynamic invoice finance platform, combined with an innovative credit control software platform.We built the team to about 16 people, helped hundreds of small businesses improve their cashflow, but ultimately could never raise enough equity to get the company properly off the ground. In 2017 we ingloriously exited the business to Arrowgrass Capital (pre-pack admin asset deal).Today Satago is part-owned by Lloyds Bank and listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) as one of the primary businesses in the Trufin plc group. So I guess it worked out quite well...
