Friendly's is a vertically integrated $500 million company, operating over 500 company and franchised restaurants in 16 states, a 65,000 sq ft food manufacturing facility producing over 18 million gallons of ice cream and toppings annually, two distribution centers, and a branded consumer foods division that sells prepackaged ice cream in over 7,000 supermarkets and other retail locations across 48 states.As a key member of the management team, led a team of over 100 employees in finance, cost accounting, IT and procurement during a period of private equity ownership. Provided financial leadership to cross-functional teams which launched a fast casual concept and revitalized one of the Company's core markets. Directed over $40 million of cost savings initiatives.

For a public company, responsibilities grew to include oversight of 60 employees in treasury and risk management, investor relations, financial reporting, cost accounting, planning & analysis and taxes. Developed a financial performance management culture and discipline. Partnered with the head of manufacturing and retail businesses to develop initiatives that increased market share and improved profits.

Played a key role in the finance team's successful efforts to raise capital, delever the balance sheet by $65 million, and reduce annual interest expense by $10 million. Maintained positive relationship with lenders through several amendments while leading the business valuation and due diligence process for several refinancing transactions. Spearheaded the Company's refranchising program.

Directed the annual and five year plannning process for a $700 million privately held company. Provided regional controllership for a $250 million operating region, with an emphasis on financial controls, P&L analysis, and operational assistance. Handled all financial analytics for the Company.

Managed and approved a $60 million annual capital spending program during a period of significant growth. Developed capital authorization guidelines, and evaluated all capital projects.
