I began my career in the context of Nelson Mandela's South Africa. This was a South Africa in a very exciting phase of transition. In the context of education, I helped teachers, principals of schools and managers transition from an apartheid to a post apartheid, democratic mindset. This was and still is an exciting area of coaching, education and research. It involves enabling professionals to move beyond deeply held beliefs so as to open up new possibilities for being, doing and seeing.In migrating to Australia in the late 1990's, I applied my own coaching and education style to the roller coaster ride of migration. I have morphed into a deeply innovative style of teaching, research and executive coaching in the context of executives, managers and professionals. I have pioneered the introduction of philosophical principles into the practice of coaching and management education,I believe that the more fundamental the change, the more fundamental executive preparation needs to be to respond to the changes in ways that were previously unimaginable. My coaching and educational style includes a very grounded understanding of the value of psychology, philosophy, management and leadership studies. I am very attuned to bringing out the best in people in the range of situations that they encounter. I am trained for educating and coaching in a range of contexts including developing high performers, enabling excellence in professional performance, developing leaders with a "global mindset," turning challenging experiences into opportunities as well enabling leaders to see every difference as an opportunity for innovation. I work with executives, professionals and managers across a broad area including global leadership, project management, succession planning, operations management, outsourcing and, of course the more specific functions of business such as marketing and finance.
