Managing three projects to relocate 2 distribution facilities and 1 manufacturing facility to new locations. Built a complete project portfolio with a timeline which will outpace original planning. Resulting from my extensive knowledge of business processes within Morgan I was asked to take on the responsibility for a newly created position. An 8-year project was recently created to streamline and standardized Morgan globally into 1 ERP platform. This project includes the selection of the future ERP platform, Integration partner, development of the Core Build Platform and the responsibility to successfully rollout and implement the new ERP platform across Morgan. Currently Morgan has 35+ active ERP platforms covering 95+ sites across the Morgan landscape. Brought into the organization with the responsibility for the development and implementation of the CentroMotion Operating System across 22 global sites. CentroMotion was purchased by a PE firm and they replaced a large portion of the Exec Team along with the supporting Directors. While I wasn’t with the company for a significant amount of time before the new PE firm brought in their team I was able to accomplish several key initiatives to support their 2024 efforts.Responsibilities include:• Develop and execute on a vision for corporate Continuous Improvement, working with business unit leaders in a matrix organization. • Champion and facilitate continuous improvement processes across CentroMotion business units.• Standardize systems where necessary and develop site specific plans depending on needs and capabilities.• Ensure accuracy in measurement of CI activities and adjust resources and support as needed to achieve desired business results.• Responsible for setting the CI culture, assessing and establishing training as needed for CI tools and methodologies.• Accelerate best practice sharing and collaboration across CentroMotion. Ensures organization-wide adoption of best practices and lessons learned.• Develop site specific roadmaps to achieve the desired state.Select Highlights:• Built initial high-level plan to execute Operational Excellence across top 8 sites which account for 80% of the total COGS for CentroMotion.• Established plan to establish site dedicated Operational Excellence practitioners in each of the top 8 sites while also supporting the remaining sites with Globally dedicated resources. • Targeted plan will take current state CI savings from approximately 3% to greater than 6% and a stretch target of 8% within 12 months.

Since May 2020 I have also been appointed interim Director of Operations, Regional Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager, and Site Leader of our Greenville SC site. These responsibilities are in addition to my fulltime Director of BPI role. Responsible for commissioning, overseeing, and acting as the primary liaison for all compulsory strategic projects ensuring compliance with Morgan standards related to Safety, Quality, and Operational Excellence. Actively collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing direction across all strategic projects & initiatives that support the company’s vision as well as short- and long-term plans. Ensuring strategic projects have the focus and attention to details needed to execute them on time and within budget to support the business goals and objectives.

Promoted to develop a Continuous Improvement system and upgrade our Quality systems across 8 sites within the Americas including having direct responsibility for the Parma Ohio laboratory and testing facility. Oversee all aspects of operational excellence, QMS development, annual CI goals, pipeline development, and the development of employee problem solving skills.

Oversaw daily activities including planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day to day operations. Key areas of focus included safety initiatives, union relations, employee development, logistics, engineering, plant quality, and capital expenditures. Tasked with allocating resources effectively to fully utilize plant assets to optimize plant profit margins.

Promoted to the operations side of the business to drive an organizational change to the culture within the site. Evaluated all processes for efficiency, labor needs, resource utilization, and overall effectiveness. Directly responsible for all day to day operations on the shop floor.

Recruited to Morgan to resolve significant gaps in their Fostoria site’s quality management system. Responsible for all aspects of quality including scrap reduction, managing new product development, driving system improvements, maintaining ISO 9001:2008 certification, and the resolution of all internal and external quality concerns.

Plant QMS Manager. Responsible for achieving Quality goals, implementation of QMS systems to reduce external and internal PPMs, approval of Corrective Actions, and accountable for a 3 shift operation with over 304 employees. Accomplishments: Implemented Layered Process Audit System and developed document control system for handling all product specific documents including operator instructions, PFMEA, CP, PF, and SOC's. Reduced external issues from an average of over 5 per month down to less than 1 per month (87% improvement over the last 6 months). Revamped daily Auditor activities, reduced non-value added activities and changed focus to improve First Shot/Last Shot process.

Responsible for plant quality system, achieving quality goals, new product launches, approval of Corrective Actions and TS 16949 Management Rep. Accountable for a 3 shift operation with over 240 employees. Accomplishments: Incorporated a system for resolving internal and external issues, reduced customer related issues by 42% thus far, implemented a Layered Process Audit system, developed dock audit system (considered best practice by 3rd party registrar), introduced a First Shot/Last Shot process, reduced component quick change-over time from 35 min to 10 min, launched first major interior trim program for TMD with zero customer rejections, modified plant auditing philosophy (realized 100 k + in cost reduction).

Responsible for control of daily production quality performance, supporting of work flow, effective layouts, and optimization of process conditions. Ensure product conformance to engineering standards. Assist with problem solving and corrective action process, primary customer contact, oversee quality auditors, maintain SPC data collection system, and oversee certification / rework reduction efforts. Reduced certification / rework hours by 85%.

Responsible for generating quality documents such as PFMEA, Control Plan and Process Flow Diagrams. Responsible for both current product and new launch product quality, primary customer contact, trained in global 8D root cause analysis and lean manufacturing. Extensive experience as acting Quality Manager.

Responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring of internal SPC process. Implemented new SPC data collection system, assisted Process Engineering in identifying potential process related problems, established and maintained information distribution system, restructured gage calibration and certification system. Reduced required gage calibration and certification time by 75%.

Responsible for performing die trials, designing and modifying prototype tooling, performing capability studies, trouble shooting product development problems, and establishing running conditions for production kick-off.
