Led a large initiative spanning multiple products, teams (onshore and offshore), and offices, to integrate a vendor supplied computer assisted coding product with the Cotiviti suite of medical chart coding products. This enhancement required implementing multiple new services and API endpoints using .Net Core and full .Net Framework, enhancing several existing .Net components, and creating multiple data stores using SQL Server. The successful implementation of this solution required collaborative planning and design between the many Cotiviti teams, as well as the software vendor. This effort is projected to provide approximately $7M in annual cost savings.Provided architectural guidance and support to development teams across all applications in the Richmond product portfolio. Established coding standards, unit testing and code coverage guidelines. Worked with the DevOps team to establish a “gated check-in” policy to ensure that only quality code which compiles successfully and has passing unit tests is allowed to be committed to source control. Collaborated with DevOps and product development teams to migrate source control from TFS to Git, and implement a simplified GitFlow workflow as the branching/merging strategy.

Architect and Technical Lead for a large initiative to implement Single Sign On (SSO), utilizing claims based authentication within the Virginia Housing Development Authority Intranet and Extranet. This solution leveraged Active Directory Federation Services 2.0 for claims token generation, Active Directory for identity storage, and SQL Server for access storage.Collaboratively planned and implemented necessary infrastructure enhancements to migrate from SharePoint 2007 to 2010. Architect and lead developer of multiple applications hosted within the new SharePoint 2010 platform. These applications represented most of the dynamic functionality exposed on the company’s award winning internet website.Led effort to re-architect many legacy applications to be service based, using Windows Server AppFabric Cache to improve performance, and Windows Server AppFabric Hosting to improve stability and visibility into each service. Migrated from non-ORM based data access or LINQ-to-SQL, to Entity Framework.Architect of a dynamic real-time notification system utilized across all of the company’s websites.Led a team of application and database developers in substantially enhancing the company’s Retiree Healthcare System, which manages benefits available to retirees, their costs, and applicable reporting.
