I see myself as a change maker, positive impact specialist with a skill in building relationships through conversation and consultation. I advocate for the foundation of community work, whether major projects, events, workshops, or policies to be conversations with the community it will effect first. From there we can build a more sustainable plan to design, implement and deliver on positive changes WITH community.I am a Community Development professional with a Master of Business (sports management) with a thesis on 'Using a Social Capital Framework to Analyse Australian Local Government Sporting Policies Efficacy in Influencing Community Sporting Clubs to Provide CALD members Social Capital Development Opportunities'(Distinction). Some of my main learnings beyond research, policy analysis, framework building and forming recommendations, is seeing the purpose and strength of quality policies and strategies, and the subsequent engagement with those pieces of work to make tangible outcomes.Personally, I pride myself on building relationships across diverse communities, connecting through barriers and using this towards strengths-based, and bottom up approach. I have a strong personal connection with lived experience through my family and I, therefore, I have a clear interest in advocating for changes in mental health and disability sectors. Additionally, I have a strong interest in researching and developing projects, policy or strategies within sport for development, and those with migrant, and refugee communities.
