I worked 12-hour shifts consisting of days and nights on a 4 on 4 off basis and also did overtime when needed.I manned a 7-story car park by myself on night shifts which involved dealing with customers, some general cleaning and taking note of the cars that were in the car park. I drove a van to collect cash from pay on foot machines and then loaded it into the cash room on a regular basis.

Performed office startup/shutdown when required - opening and closing up making sure all windows and doors are locked and alarm is set.Built on relationships with Suppliers and Customers in various countries by use of telephone, email, fax and sending letters.Placing supplier orders after negotiating payment terms, packaging and freight costs.Managing a diary system for chasing suppliers/customers and scheduling appointments.Responsible for warehouse duties such as receiving and checking goods, heavy lifting, liaising with inspection companies and sending goods to customers.Responsible for ensuring that packaging materials and tooling equipment in the warehouse are kept at their stock levels and in good working order.Responsible for the cleanliness of the third party warehouse to fire and safety regulations.Ensured that all mail was sent on time every day, which included entering details into the mail diary and also petty cash records.

Liaised with customers by answering the telephone and taking orders through to delivering food, meeting customers, taking payments and giving change in a polite and happy manner.Maintained a good image to the company by having a regularly clean uniform and car.Earned tips for well-timed deliveries with a polite and friendly service.

Attended a course for a week and various training days throughout employment where I learnt how to sell a wide range of products, which included being able to sell a credit finance package.I traveled all over Cambridgeshire visiting Customers homes to do a presentation and give them the option of placing an order on the day for several thousand pounds at a time.I worked purely on a commission basis, wearing a smart suit and tie at all times 6 days a week.I met a lot of friendly customers as well as a lot of wary and closed customers that I had to get to like me and buy my product.

Knowing store layout and being able to take a customer to a location of a product they require and use knowledge gained within the company to help them.Main role was to work on the checkouts, which involved processing hundreds of payments per day ensuring 100% accurate balance at the end of the day.I attended B&Q University training days gaining knowledge in good customer service.I received good customer feedback, tips for offering to carry products to customer's cars and I received a card from a customer with a letter of praise for good service.

Was given sole responsibility for tea, coffee and refreshment service for adult education evening classes.I took on the process of setting up tables, chairs and a room within a small hall selling refreshments, which involved maintaining cash flow, buying stock and paying myself for the working hours.
