Field Service Mechanic

• Oversaw rotating equipment for 100+ locations in Bakken Oilfield• Troubleshoot process pump conditions to determine root cause/failure analysis and establish a course of action for repair or replacement• Scope jobsites/equipment locations to improve machinery conditions such as identifying corrections that need to be made to piping, foundation, instrumentation, etc. to extend service life of rotating equipment• Attend daily morning meetings to collaborate with Operations and other crafts' job progressions and give updates regarding my job status, concerns, suggestions and questions; Scope and Plan necessary work with planners and engineers; Write up daily reports detailing completed work and job status accompanied by pictures of work performed• Coordinate with Maintenance and Operations to determine priority of jobs and distribute work to crew members• Managed and assisted crew members with locations of parts/materials, work contacts for different areas of the field, ensure they have followed all safety policies and procedures to effectively complete jobs correctly and safely, as well as complete and submit mine and coworker’s timesheets• Comply with all permitting and JSA procedures as well as safety policies and making sure crew members did the same• Assess the process and production of pumps to determine areas of improvement necessary to enhance performance and extend service life• Perform mechanical seal rebuilds, replacements and installations• Perform precision alignment of rotating machinery utilizing laser alignment tools as well as Reverse Alignment with dial indicators• Introduce seal flush/cooling lines to pump seals – adding it into scope of work and planning with maintenance if alterations to piping were necessary• Replace and/or perform preventive maintenance on centrifugal, reciprocating/plunger, and rotary/gear pumps (sump, wastewater)• Replace, PM, Troubleshoot and Align electric induction motors

Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.• Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.• Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.• Replace or repair metal, wood, leather, glass, or other lining in machines, or in equipment compartments or containers.• Remove hardened material from machines or machine parts, using abrasives, power and hand tools, jackhammers, sledgehammers, or other equipment.• Measure, mix, prepare, and test chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.• Replace, empty, or replenish machine and equipment containers such as gas tanks or boxes.• Follow strict safety guidelines while performing work under stressful and hazardous situations requiring the use of fresh air and safety harnesses
