Project Management - Provided expertise to manage multiple business initiative projects for Pension Product delivery. - Functioned as project manager and as project relationship contact to Partners Healthcare for Consolidated Statements project. Worked with competitive companies (Vanguard, AIG/Valic, and Fidelity) to integrate and combine statement data into a consolidated statement along with TIAA-CREF statement data. Provided project management oversight to Bowne, Inc. to assure timely production and delivery of the statements on a quarterly basis.- Managed product delivery for Executive Compensation, Plan Review, and Plan Dashboard projects though collaboration with business functional areas (Marketing, Learning and Development, Business Operations, and Client Relationship Management) and IT to develop project milestones utilizing project management best practices. Reported status to the corporate PMO and managed Project Controls through Clarity and MS Project Management.

Project Management - Legacy Applications Support at TIAA-Cref. Managed team of 6 developers to support legacy applications (e.g. Deferred Annuity Reporting and ERISA Tax Reporting) utilizing DB2, ORACLE, SQL, and COBOL while adhering to corporate project life-cycle (SDLC) requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley.- Performed analysis and developed strategy, processes and procedures for the retirement of 35 legacy applications. Developed and initiated the project utilizing IT and Business SME resources to establish milestones and execute the sun-setting of the applications and business processes.- Success in this position prompted an offer from TIAA-Cref to come into the company as a full time employee.

Business Continuity - Developed Enterprise BC Discipline from the ground up. Provided business continuity to support all domestic business, technical units and disaster recovery support to local campus environment. Directly supervised 8 senior specialists in multiple locations with accountability for $5.8 Million budget.- Established processes and procedures for interfacing with both internal and external BCP customers and technical functional areas for plan development, maintenance, training, and coordination of DR and business unit BCP functional exercises.- Managed local campus data center inclusion into corporate in-house Disaster Recovery implementation. Reduced local recovery costs from $3.7M to $1.8M annually.

Provided BCP and Disaster Recovery support to all technical and business functional areas associated with local campus facilities. Directly supervised 5 DR/BCP specialists and was accountable for $8.4M budget. - Solicited and obtained executive management support and funding – established the strategic approach – set the objectives and metrics for success. - Initiated the “discovery” project plan for mainframe high availability recovery. Reducing prior recovery objectives from 24-48 to a 6 hour RTO. This was accomplished by restructuring the existing DR/BCP program based on GAP analysis and “Best Practices” approach.

Project management and DR/BCP support. Managed initiatives to develop strategy for remediation and testing of all systems, programs, macros, procs and JCL to bring the environment to Y2K compliance standards across all platforms including mainframe, mid-range and server based systems with accountability for $22 Million Project budget.- Negotiated with multiple service providers and secured contracts to provide remediation, QA testing and BIA/BCP resources. Provided direct supervision of 160 code remediators, 30 testers and 6 BIA/BCP specialists throughout the life cycle of the project. - Managed all project functions using PMI PMBOK methodology. Scheduled activities, tasks, resolved conflicts and prepared/reported project milestones. Tracked to deadlines, evaluated risks, assigned/supervised resources and resolved issues impacting deliverables. Awarded “First Data Winner’s Circle" performance recognition and received a $50K bonus for my achievements.

Project Management - Managed all aspects of Corporate Diversification / Separation project to conform to SEC regulations with accountability for $6.2 Million project budget. Directly supervised 10 Programmer/Analysts, 4 QA testers, 4 Internal Subject Matter experts and 2 Technical Writers throughout the project life cycle.- Managed all functions using PMI PMBOK methodology for scheduling activities, tasks, resolving conflicts. Prepared and reported project status. Tracked to deadlines, evaluated risks, assigned/supervised resources to resolve issues impacting deliverables.- Developed the strategic/tactical plans for the separation of databases, data, procedures, programs, macros, procs and JCL for the departing company’s systems. Project and Applications Management - Filled multiple lead positions for technology initiatives and special projects. Provided recommendations on business processing and technical strategy to bring a higher level of proficiency and effectiveness to the Applications Development Department. - Performed as Project Manager and Principle Applications Architect of the IPS Paper Project. Reengineered database structures and designed/developed strategy and specifications to allow two companies to co-process through money order applications.- Reengineered the IMS database structure and applied strategy and technique to the General Ledger database to allow concurrent multiple currencies to process through the G/L system.- Designed logical DB2 model for banking applications.

Project Management and Systems / Business Analysis - Managed mainframe applications conversion project as the Project Manager and Primary Analyst for the conversion of all applications and supporting JCL from a DOS/VSE environment to an OS/MVS platform with Accountability for $2.4 Million project budget. - Provided business and systems analysis that included requirement gathering and specifications in support of the conversion.- Awarded the “Guardians of Excellence” for conversion project – the highest performance award given.
