Michigan United Conservation Clubs is the largest statewide conservation organization in the nation. Founded in 1937, our mission is to unite citizens to conserve, protect and enhance Michigan's natural resources and outdoor heritage. This mission drives everything we do as an organization.Our strength in is our membership and support: over 40,000 hunters, anglers, trappers and conservationists and over 200 affiliated local clubs around the state. We were founded in 1937 with a simple purpose: harness the combined strength of Michigan's outdoors community to protect conservation from politics. Since then, we have been the foremost power in Michigan protecting the rights to hunt, fish and trap. Our policies are determined by our members through Michigan's most robust grassroots policy-setting process. Our experienced and professional staff carry out the resolutions adopted by our members through a suite of conservation programs ranging from direct advocacy and communications to on-the-ground wildlife habitat conservation and youth outdoor education.

Responsible for overall Walk to End Alzheimer's program for the Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Supervise and manage Walk to End Alzheimer's staff. Assure Chapter compliance with Alzheimer's Association policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for corporate sponsorship revenue for Chapter's Walk to End Alzheimer's program. Developing new network of high-level contacts for the chapter and form new corporate alliances and partnerships. Responsible for recruiting, and ensuring, Walks have high-level leadership volunteers in place and train, coach and develop Walk leadership volunteers to reach goals

As the Area Director for the state of Michigan, responsible for implementing AFSP’s fundraising and program initiatives within the state and developing the chapter leadership/volunteers in that area. Provided leadership to chapter to realign with AFSP’s core values, nationwide branding and procedures; facilitated chapter expansion from regional (southeast) focus to state-wide charter. Facilitated succession of long-term (10+ years) chapter leaders and transitioned new volunteers to the board, filling vacant leadership positions, instilling absent structure, improving board productivity, impact and cohesiveness. Increased state-wide fundraising by 259% and programming by 800%, while eliminating unsuccessful events and starting new events in major state markets. Engaged and managed large corporate accounts to deliver workplace giving and education/programming with such companies as FCA, Quicken Loans, and the Carpet Guys.Represented AFSP as part of the Mayor’s Challenge as a nationwide pilot program in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.State was chosen to pilot a program/relationship with Go Guardian and their Chromebook Technology to deliver suicide prevention training to educators and school personnel.Initiated and planned the state’s first annual state capital day (2017) and created the Michigan Capitol Day Committee to maintain YOY growth for event attendance/success.Expanded prevention and education programming to include the addition of four new loss survivor groups, the state’s first Survivors of Suicide Loss peer support group facilitator training, and five new ISOSL events within the first 18 months.

As a Community Manager, one of a team of three responsible for the Greater Detroit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.Recruited the first Hotel Partnership in the state as part of a patient lodging initiative. Responsible for managing account portfolio that includes Fortune 1000 companies.Adopted, trained, and motivated account internal committees, bringing them to successful fundraising totals. Coached and cultivated company liaisons to effectively engage their employee base and successfully fundraise through company initiatives.Recruited new high-level sponsors and grew their involvement and fundraising. Collaborate with Corporate & Distinguished Partners and Health System staff to maximize event success; leverage opportunities to engage constituents from corporate, distinguished partners and health systems activities in events through event sponsorship and participation.Responsible for the Event Parking, managing relationship with local law enforcement, and other logistical responsibilities.Lead staff managing newly formed Making Strides Council, trained and activated high-level volunteers to grow event.
