CurrentDirect, manage, and supervise the daily and long-term operations of the Facilities and Operations Department including repair and upkeep of buildings, and oversee the management of facilities rentals and special events.Develop short and long-term plans, goals and objectives for the Facilities and Operations Department including departmental policies and procedures.Direct and manage the maintenance and repair of buildings and mechanical equipment, landscaping and grounds operations; ensure buildings and ground are in compliance with ADA guidelines. Prepare specifications, negotiate, and manage custodial and grounds maintenance contracts to ensure a clean, well-maintained environment. Review plans and specifications and make recommendations as to maintenance and operation of new facilities prior to and during construction. Work closely with the City of Phoenix regarding facility HVAC, building systems, and long-term deferred maintenance bonds and schedule. Prepare reports and present information to the Museum Building Committee. Develop and administer department budget including allocating resources, analyzing staffing, equipment, materials and supply need; estimate labor and material costs. Supervise and monitor work of city or external contractors performing work for the Museum. Actively seek new and innovative ways to provide custodial and maintenance services to the Museum. Manage operations; organize and oversee multiple project concurrently. Write technical procedures, policies, contracts and/or other related detailed materials.
