The award-winning natural design enclosure of more than 500 acres of pristine native habitats is home to dozens of rehabilitated animals and is open to the public. The 250-member organization offers environmental education programs for area schools throughout the year, summer camps, miles of hiking trails, canoeing on historic Lookout Creek and more. ✰ As Executive Director, I managed 14 employees, and managed a $500,000 annual budget. My responsibilities included procuring operational funding from local and national foundations. I originated fundraising drives and special events, managed a natural store on the property, and oversaw general maintenance budgets and processes for a small “zoo.”Key Accomplishment:■ A unique outdoor activities-based program that I developed generated significant growth in membership, funding, and sales.
