I'm currently a member of a team dedicated to providing support to 2Keys' largest financial-sector client, managing their internal and customer-facing authentication and authorization systems, deployed across Solaris, Linux and Windows. Client communities span cross-Canada and Latin America.

Initially, my business unit fell under ADP's Brokerage Services Group; in April 2007, this division spun off into Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc., an event for which I provided rebranding support.My primary responsibilities included support for AIX, Linux, HP-UX and Solaris servers. I was the primary VMware resource for the Mississauga location; I supported our MySQL databases, and assisted with Oracle and SQL Server administration; and I was the primary SAN manager for the site, featuring EMC storage arrays (Symmetrix/VMAX with SRDF, Clariion/VNX). I also backfilled for the Windows server administrator for vacation and illness.During my tenure, I led and participated in a large number of infrastructure projects. I was initially tasked with automating critical business applications in Perl, running under CA's Autosys automation suite. I performed several VMware Server/vSphere upgrades; from standalone version 2.5 servers, to VI 3, vSphere 4 and 4.1, to vSphere 5.1.Other major projects included migrating applications and utilities from Solaris 9 to AIX 6.1; migration of storage arrays to newer technologies (DMX-to-DMX4, DMX4-to-VMAX, Clariion-to-VNX, VNX-to-VNX2, HP EVA to VMAX); migrating AIX hosts on physical POWER hardware to a virtualized environment under VIOS on Flex hardware; installing and configuring an LTO4 tape library, featuring library-managed encryption, and subsequent replacement of this tape library for EMC's Avamar and Data Domain products; and migration of HP-UX hosts from Superdome complexes to Superdome 2s.From 2010 through 2014, I served as a team lead, managing a group of four associates, including two employees in our India office.

For my first work term with Manulife, I was contracted to assist with the integration of John Hancock's Treasury operations; specifically, I was tasked with the automation of retrieving Banking Account Information (BAI) files from John Hancock's banks and distributing the files internally. This was implemented completely in Perl and onto existing infrastructure (including the creation of Control-M jobs), which resulted in the project having zero cost, other than my time.During the latter part of my tenure with Manulife, my role changed to supporting internal and third-party applications used by the Treasury to process financial transactions. This included participating in the deployment of the main internally-developed application, which was a key SOX control.

I performed client liaison between IBM's Strategic Outsourcing branch and SO clients, ensuring that contractual obligations were met, that reports were generated on time and accurately, and that escalations were handled promptly. A good deal of communication with clients involved "translating" technical terms and explanations for non-technical client executives.

In addition to supporting the custom-built IVR equipment in multiple cities across North America, I coordinated installation of new equipment in remote offices with on-site personnel, as well as development and deployment of utility applications as needed. I was also the lead technical support associate when IMG bought Webpersonals in 1997, and developed documentation and support procedures for the new product.

I was responsible for all things technological, from the printers and photocopiers, to users' desktops, to the network and telecomm equipment. Coordination of installation of network lines also fell under my purview.
