Geospatial Analyst / Business Development
I was a GIS analyst for PCS, which is an engineering consulting firm that focuses on the design and management of capital projects in the energy industry. At PCS I served as the lead GIS analyst and data manager for multiple concurrent projects across their life cycles from Pre-FEED (front end engineering design) analysis through completion. I routinely performed quality assurance and control of Civil, AsBuilt, and Environmental data. Within the company, I was also involved with new geoprocessing tool development, testing, documentation, and training.
Develop Advisor/Consultant
Under the Applied Sciences of NASA’s Earth Science Division, DEVELOP is a capacity building program guided by NASA and partner science advisors. DEVELOP participants work on research projects optimizing use of NASA Earth observations to address community concerns and public policy issues. I served as an Advisor to the program since 2012. I established a new DEVELOP Center at the University of Georgia. I created projects and serve as a liaison between project partners and research teams, with emphasis on projects based in Latin America. I also facilitated capacity building workshops and webinars to ensure successful knowledge tranfer. I provided managerial support at the DEVELOP nodes located in the Patrick Henry Building (Governor’s Office) in Richmond, VA (Summer 2014) and supervised research teams at the DEVELOP node at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA (Summer 2014). Between 2010 and 2012, I served as the Center Lead for the DEVELOP node at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL where I managed day-to-day operations and also Recruited, hired, trained, and managed all participants. I was responsible for transferring the DEVELOP node from the University of Alabama at Birmingham to the National Space Science and Technology Center in Huntsville in order to establish interagency collaboration between DEVELOP and SERVIR, which is another capacity building program within NASA’s Applied Sciences.http://develop.larc.nasa.gov/https://www.servirglobal.net/Global.aspx

I was a Research Assistant for the Center for Integrative Conservation Research (CICR) at UGA. "The goal of CICR is to respond, through research and training, to one of the key challenges facing conservation today: identifying conservation practices and policies that simultaneously preserve biodiversity and serve human needs. CICR promotes the synthesis of social and biological science research methods and conceptual approaches in conservation through an integrative approach to conservation research."
