The original "Partnership for a Drug-Free America" was created by a coalition of major media companies (Capitol Cities ABC, CBS, NY Times, Washington Post, etc.), and driven forward by trade associations and talent unions (SAG/AFTRA) led by the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's). We employed proven business principles to pioneer the concept of what is today “social marketing.” Our case history is still taught at Harvard Business School. Beyond the famous "this is your brain on drugs," our team created multiple Effie (first Grand Effie ever awarded to a nonprofit), ADDY winning campaigns, and multiple wins across every other major marketing honor, that delivered measurable results, changed lives and saved lives.National media primary spokesperson. Testified before U.S. House and Senate on several occasions and worked directly with a range of Federal Agencies. Directly involved in securing major gifts & grants from $15 million to $5M to multiple $1M plus. Significantly, 89% of all budget was dedicated to programs.
