Currently working within the Offshore Renewable sector as an Authorised Wind Turbine Technician at Triton Knoll wind farm.Experience on Vestas V164 offshore platforms.Authorised technician Complete electrical and mechanical isolations, being responsible for the test of dead procedure and lock out and tag out before any work is started. Follow a work permit system to provide safe system of works. Sets working party to work ensuring general safety is established and maintained at all times to keep everyone safe. Making sure that all safe and correct working procedures are followed.Maintenance and repair – responsible for maintaining equipment and components on the wind turbine generator. This involves performing scheduled servicing which includes maintenance tasks on, lubrication system, hydraulic system, HV transformer, LV components and visual inspections. Training and mentoring apprentices and less experienced technicians to ensure they are familiar with safe systems of work and the technical knowledge required to work on the turbine. Mentored apprentice whom was nominated for apprentice of the year.Safety Representative Promoting a positive safety culture at RWE by leading by example when working at Triton Knoll. Giving people confidence and constantly encouraging people to report any hazobs or posobs. First aid refresher training to technicians on the vessel to make sure people are confident and have less skill fade from attending the 2 yearly enhanced first aid GWO. This involves going through the first aid equipment and familiarizing when and what they are used for giving people the opportunity to get hands on with the kit. Mental health first aid trained to provide support to colleagues in a isolated environment from home comforts. Attend safety rep meetings to communicate any ideas to improve and develop the HSE culture onsite.Joined the British Army in 2012 and qualified as an Electrician in the Royal Engineers. Experience in Military engineering whilst in the UK ranging from Bridge building, building defensive structures, Providing power in field conditions using generators. Worldwide experience offering electrical support during UN tour in Cyprus including various engineer tasks to provide security and stability within the capital city. Delivered combat engineer support and training to various African national Army's whilst working with UN in Somalia. Posted to Kenya for 8 months managing a team of electricians completing regular periodic testing.
