I have 20+ years of technical leadership in the United States Navy. As a former Navy Engineering Duty Officer (EDO), I’ve led and managed a variety of engineering efforts for the Navy, the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Office of Naval Research (ONR). These range from minor facility improvements (~ $100k) to extremely complex and technically demanding Trident II D5 missile flights tests (~$35M). Many of these tests have pushed the limits of technology in fields such as radar and microwave systems, electrical instrumentation, material science, and energetics. Core Competencies:• Experienced leading multi-disciplined, multi-agency, engineering teams (5-100 engineers) across different functional organizations • Superior communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization• Managing all financial and contractual deliverables for large-scale programs• Skilled at leading projects without formal authority • Quickly grasps complex technical issues and implementing solutions • Balancing stakeholder requirements to achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives
