I've delegated many hats since 2018 and have handed off the roles of CEO, President, CFO, sales director, project manager, director of engineering services, M&A, collections, legal, and more to our leadership team. Following the Traction ideology, I've "let go of the vine". Currently I focus on leading our largest team of developers working with our largest customer by providing CTO-ish services such as development roadmap creation and implementation, business analysis, partnership relations, systems architecting, QA, and more.Delta Systems was started as a training company in 1986 by Ms. Debin Benish. I started as a programmer in 2002, then became CEO in 2004, then purchased the company outright in 2005. I pivoted us into websites and web systems and then grew our team from 5 people to 28 or so. We helped hundreds of companies by building software, systems, websites, integrations, and more for everything from publicly-traded companies to 2-person law firms. We were the IT team, development team, acting/default CTO for many, many companies and startups. On Delta's 35th birthday in March 2021, Delta Systems, and 9 acquired company brands, were folded under Elevato Digital. This confused people. So...In 2025, we split out Elevato Digital to provide a focused team for digital marketing, graphic design, SEO, PPC, and other multimedia needs of businesses both large and small. With an amazing, experienced leadership team, we're continuing to level up both Delta Systems and Elevato in all areas.

Spurred by friends at the Columbia, MO Chamber of Commerce, we've built the most powerful and flexible sponsorship contract management system in the world built specifically for chambers of commerce running a TRC. EasyTRC is Total Contract Management for Total Resource Campaigns.

Started as a way to help our friends at the True/False Film Festival (truefalse.org) to manage 1,000 volunteers, sister festivals started asking if they could use the system too. DoGooder was expanded to handle different types of volunteer management needs and now helps a variety of organizations like the Show-Me State Games [smsg.org] (an annual, state-wide, Olympics-scale collection of sport competitions) and ForColumbia.com (an annual, city-wide, day of volunteering by over 2,000 people from dozens of religious organizations)This startup could use some more attention to better serve the needs of a large, growing market of volunteering management needs across numerous verticals.

This was a fun project we built during Columbia Startup Weekend 2017 (http://columbiastartupweekend.com/) where we won second place!It's a free-flowing text-based system that allows businesses to text to the masses, but people can snooze alerts when they don't need them. Image being texted when your barber has availability...but you snooze that for 2 weeks because you don't need a haircut yet. Upon further research and reassessment of priorities, we decided to mothball the idea so we can pursue more lucrative projects.

This system helped bands get their music discovered and delivered directly to radio stations. Stations could search/browse, preview, and download WAV files that were of broadcast quality. I kept the system running, expanded capacity, added new features, and laid out a technology roadmap. This endeavor was a side gig while we grew Delta Systems.

This company acquired SoftCell Communications and incorporated our technology before pivoting into a different direction related to email disaster recovery. 9/11 changed everything. I worked in NYC and Austin. I went on a road show in the valley and alley to help successfully raise a $10M round. MessageOne was eventually sold to Dell for $150M.

Revolutionized email monitoring and reporting on Microsoft Exchange server usage. Imagine a time when systems administrators had to prove to the C-Suite that they needed more money for more mail servers "just to handle email?" at a time when managers preferred phones. Weird, right?Started this company from my back bedroom while my 2 partners worked other jobs. We then sold to, and joined, MessageOne

Director of Development, Webmaster, Sales Engineer. Was only there 2 years but it felt like 10 years of experience. We reimagined a DOS-based application and brought it into a Windows world. We built the pre-eminent cc:Mail monitoring and reporting solution available in the market. We had real-time alerts sent to pagers. We had real-time, mail server network status diagrams that self-published to the Internet...... in 1996. We saved companies hundreds of thousands of dollars on international and long distance phone bills. With a team of 5, we were able to sell $30M in software to many large and international companies in 18 months. As the world moved away from cc:Mail, the company owner wanted to stick with Lotus Notes, instead of expanding into Microsoft Exchange. I didn't think that was a good idea and found coding for a Lotus system was annoying so I moved on.
