Led strategy development and commercial negotiations for Downstream JVs and asset sales.• Led formation of $8 billion refining JV (due diligence, commercial negotiations and transition to operations) that was accomplished in less than 6 months.• Managed overall relationship and served as primary point of contact with the Board, Major Project Development Steering Committee and Operating Committee leading to both timely budget approval and approval of $3.5 billion new project.• Designed and negotiated the initial crude product inventory accounting that preserved $50 MM of value to CoP. • Provided corporate strategy and commercial negotiation oversight for a $700MM JV refinery debottleneck which will give a 20+% return and an added 200MBD processing train which would have a 5% return advantage over grass roots facilities in the Middle East.• Developed commercial negotiation strategy for LPG import terminals in China and Indonesia that retained control of the product supply with CoP.• Developed marketing strategy and negotiated transaction agreements for sale of two technology licensing businesses worth $25 MM.

Led strategy development and commercial negotiations for marine business and new ventures.• Led strategy development and customer-focused marketing plan for a new business of shuttling crude oil in the Gulf of Mexico, potentially becoming a 5 tanker fleet generating $40MM/yr worth $250MM NPV.• Led strategy development and commercial negotiations for a shipbuilding alliance between a US and a Korean shipyard to construct 5 tankers for $500MM saving $200+MM compared to a typical US cost.• Led strategy development for an innovative new business to supply a remote operated, offshore crude transfer device with forecast sales of 4/yr worth $200MM NPV.

Led and managed the sales of carbon anodes to the aluminum industry worth $25 MM/yr in a complex international setting with suppliers and customers in Venezuela, Yugoslavia, Egypt, Ghana and Tajikistan.

Led multi-function team to develop revised future state and strategies to capitalize on the excellent product quality from a new $500MM hydrocracker.
