Also, opened a real estate company of the same name and achieved broker status. Managed and helped to gow and build expanding ophthalmic medial practice in New York. Work for one of the nicest guys ever, Dr. Hal Farquhar. Dr. Renee Richards was one on the staff of doctors. A sweatheart and a great pediatric ophthalmologist. One of my favorite memories was the day she let me borrow Martina Navratilova's BMW to go run errands.

He served as a very valuable ophthalmic and surgical assistant. In this capacity he was most capable, well-liked, and extremely professional in all his dealings with patients, staff, and physicians. In addition, Mr. Rhode and I collaborated on the writing of an ophthalmic text (Ophthalmic Technology: A Guide for the Eye Care Assistant,1987) which has been used in ophthalmic assistant training programs throughout the United States. Steve Rhode is a rare individual who masters all assigned tasks and is able to function on a very high level in a great diversity of projects. It was a wonderful experience working with him for everyone in our office and particularly myself."

At TOS we taught and trained ophthalmic staff in the latest techniques, technologies and procedures at offices and surgical centers across the country. My partner was my best friend, who latter died. I still miss him.
