About Steve Roberts

I’m all about people.Put me in a room of strangers and I’ll talk to anyone!After spending a few years in a contact centre role and moving into account management, I decided that it was time for a new direction and moved into the careers space and what a perfect move for me that was! I was able to utilize my true passion for helping others through assisting them to map out their careers. Whether it is secondary students just looking for advice and direction due to the uncertainty of what happens post school to women looking to become tradespeople or recent arrivals to Australia looking for career support, it is exciting to be just a small part of their journeys.I’m very passionate about apprenticeships (being the proud father of two apprentice chippys) and I always get excited when a client tells me they want to become a tradesperson.How much do I love supporting people?Outside of work, I’m a teacher by nature both as a martial arts instructor (seniors and juniors) and previously as a coach coaching junior footy. It’s all unpaid and I do it purely for the joy of helping others and watching young people not only improve their skills but becoming good humans as wellI’m also a self-confessed geek and if you want to talk DC Comics (especially Green Lantern) then I’m your nerd!
