Director of Kent State's Technology Transfer Office. Direct and manage university owned intellectual property with in-house counsel and outside law firms. Responsible for university technology transfer activities. Work closely with faculty members on invention disclosure forms, corporate sponsored research, licensing and commercialization opportunities. Member of KSU Patent Board. Report to the Vice President for Research. Co-founder with Cleveland State University of the TeCK Fund, a unique, collaborative $800,000 startup accelerator funded by the Ohio Third Frontier Fund and the two universities. Assembled TeCK Fund Screening and Selection Committees with CSU. Member of both committees. Also Business Manager for Kent State's Research and Sponsored Programs Division. Prepared RASP's first budget in recent memory and manage 22 person division's spending activities. Involved in several economic development initiatives in Northeast Ohio. Member of KSU Design Initiative Planning Group, University College technology review committee, search committees, and other campus activities. Panelist for "Valuation of University Startups" at NCET2 Demo Day Conference, Washington, DC.
