Steve focuses his practice on construction law, commercial litigation and real estate matters.Steve’s construction practice encompasses all aspects of construction law from contract drafting and negotiations to litigation and alternate dispute resolution. He has represented owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, construction managers, vendors, and tenants, and regularly negotiates and drafts development agreements, construction agreements, construction management agreements, design professional agreements, subcontracts and purchase orders. Steve brings his extensive experience as litigator when counseling clients on construction projects so as to help protect against the risk of litigation and unanticipated disputes and complications.Steve also represents businesses and financial institutions in litigation involving complex commercial issues, including business torts, commercial loan enforcement, construction disputes, contract disputes, lease disputes, and landlord/tenant matters, and mechanics lien claims. He also counsels both lender and borrower clients with respect to troubled loans, workouts, and related litigation. Steve has successfully represented clients in both state and federal trial courts and appellate courts, as well as in arbitrationsand mediations.Steve also serves as General Counsel to Fredericksburg All Ages, Inc., an all ages music education and performance organization based in Fredericksburg, Virginia dedicated to providing hands-on learning and leadership development opportunities for youth of all ages.
