At the end of 2020 I begun a new role at TechInsights. As the subject matter expert for power devices I keep informed of developments across the entire industry. Curating content across the platform including seminars, briefings and recommending new products for reverse engineering analysis. To support a fair marketplace where semiconductor and electronics IP can be innovated and monetised. Previously at Bourns, Inc I lead simulations in to a new product line of power devices as a Process Architect.Over the course of my MSc, PhD and post-doctoral work I gained substantial experience in fabrication techniques in a clean room environment. I have particular expertise in processing wide band gap semiconductors for power electronic applications.I have fabricated FET devices with record breaking performance and gained valuable skills such as device simulation, DC & RF characterisation and a strong theoretical knowledge of semiconductor device physics.I continued in academia for a number of years, firstly at the University of Glasgow fabricating high performance RF diamond devices in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) intended for use in future space missions.I put my skills to further use as a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick, where I was promoted in 2017 to Senior Fellow for outstanding publications and securing funding to lead my own research.
