As owner of the world's largest private collection of Star Wars memorabilia, I've opened Rancho Obi-Wan as a non-profit museum to share my passion and stories of collecting with fellow fans all over the world. Rancho Obi-Wan offers memberships at various levels as well as personally guided tours.

As a consultant to Lucasfilm, I have acted as a liaison to fans and organized fan groups. I've worked closely with Publicity and Business Affairs, and also have had numerous writing projects.

As a full-time Lucasfilm employee for 15 years, I helped plan regular Star Wars Celebration fan conventions. I have made numerous Star Wars presentations at fan conventions around the wolrd, and was an in-house editor of licensed fan magazines. In the area of content management, I helped develop a release strategy for fan and other media regarding information and photos on the Star Wars prequel trilogy and other projects.

I joined the Journal as a reporter in 1969 in Philadelphia, and later covered Canada out of the Montreal bureau from 1971 to 1973. After moving to Los Angeles as a reporter, I became deputy bureau chief in 1984, and Los Angeles Bureau Chief in 1987, running a newsroom that, at its peak, had 18 employees. I remained Bureau Chief until I left in 1996 to join Lucasfilm.
