Steve Seguin has been designing software products for buying groups and their members for over twenty years. As Vice-President of Products at LBMX Inc, he focuses on aligning new products and services with the strategic vision of the organization and the needs of the customer base in order to realize significant revenue growth. His role includes design, strategy, marketing, UX, and product management.Prior to working with LBMX, Steve focused on software solutions for members and other independent retailers. As a quality assurance analyst, business analyst and later operations manager with Active Retail and DigiPOS, Steve provided POS software and hardware to independent retailers throughout the United Kingdom. With Activant Solutions (now Epicor), worked with the design and successful roll-out of the Canadian marketplace’s next generation POS platform before being recruited for a skunk works design team focused on the creation of a next generation business intelligence system that spanned multiple verticals in North America. He also served as the chief product manager for Activant integrations with Home Hardware, one of Canada’s largest purchasing co-operatives with over 1000 members.Steve is actively involved on the theatre arts community, both as a writer and performer. He has held positions on the Board of Directors for various theatre organizations and festivals. He holds a Master’s of Arts Degree in History from the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario).He is also the author of Transform Your Group: Aligning Strategy and Technology for Buying Groups and Purchasing Cooperatives.Steve runs www.purchasingcoop.com, a site devoted to trends within the purchasing cooperative world.
